Clare Thorbes is a Yukon-born portrait painter. She studied with the late Glenn Howarth, RCA, and is a graduate of the Victoria College of Art. She has explored writing, singing, dance and playing various musical instruments.
Clare’s professional background includes book publishing, editing, and translation. She has an MA in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario and an Honours BA in Russian and Spanish from McMaster University. She has worked as a CBC researcher and freelance reporter, and continues to provide freelance editorial services.
Clare is a certified creativity coach. She coaches writers, artists and performers across Canada.
